During jury selection for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ upcoming federal trial in Manhattan, a prospective juror—identified as Juror 48—was dismissed on May 6 after expressing concerns that Diddy’s wealth might let him “buy his way out of jail.”
When questioned by Judge Arun Subramanian, the woman admitted she struggled to explain her feelings and shared a personal experience of an attempted rape, criticizing police efforts. She emphasized the need for everyone to have a “clean slate,” which led to her dismissal.
On the trial’s first day, Diddy admitted feeling “a little nervous” and took a bathroom break.
During the selection, jurors were also asked about familiarity with various celebrities, including Kanye West, Mike Myers, Michael B. Jordan, Kid Cudi, and Cassie Ventura. Although Ventura’s brief 2015 relationship with Jordan was mentioned in related lawsuits, insiders confirmed Jordan will not testify.
