The new Smithing update in Grow a Garden has brought a huge furnace to the center of the event area, with four crafting stations around it. One of these is the pet crafting station, where you can craft two rare pets and the Gem Egg.
At the pet crafting station, you need a few basic ingredients to make pets, and coal is one of the most important. Make sure you have enough by submitting plants, eggs, or gears to the furnace first.
Here’s what you can craft at the pet station:
The Gem Egg needs one Common Egg, three Common Coal, and 1 million sheckles. It takes 10 minutes to craft and is a special Smithing event pet egg.
The Smithing Dog requires one Dog, two Rare Coal, and 3 million sheckles. Crafting takes 20 minutes. This pet has a 10.09% chance to dig up a coal every 4.59 minutes.
The Cheetah needs one Orange Tabby, two Legendary Coal, and 8.5 million sheckles. It takes 40 minutes to craft. Every 7.5 minutes, it transforms you into a cheetah for 30 seconds. While transformed, all harvested fruit has a 15.36% chance to get the Wildfast mutation.
To craft items at the station, first collect all the required ingredients. Then, go to the pet crafting station and press E to interact. Select the recipe you want and click the green Craft button. You can submit the ingredients one by one or press F to do it all at once. Pay the sheckles required, and the crafting will begin. After the timer ends, press E again to collect your pet or item.
