The Farmers Market update in Grow a Garden also added a small side quest with cool rewards. One of the best rewards you can get is the Gem Chest. This chest gives you unique pets and plants. Some of these items can boost your collection, and if you get extras, you can trade them for more Trade Tokens.
When you open a Gem Chest, you have a chance to get one of six rewards. There’s Gem Fruit and Clam, which are uncommon. Then there’s Coilvine and Magpie, which are legendary. The rarest are the Asteris plant and the Bearded Dragon pet, both divine.
There are two ways to get a Gem Chest. The first is through Trader Troy’s quests. He stands near the big green portal that leads to the Farmers Market. You need to bring him the plants he asks for. When you submit them, you get a random reward. The chance to get a Gem Chest is low, only about 5.48%, so it might take several tries. The quests refresh every hour. If you want, you can skip a requirement by spending Robux, but that’s optional.
The second way is to buy Gem Chests from the in-game shop. This costs Robux but gives better odds of getting high-tier items like Asteris or Bearded Dragon. One chest costs 199 Robux, three chests are 575, and ten chests go for 1699 Robux.
