Actress Lee Si Young has happily welcomed her second child. She shared the news on November 5 through her Instagram, posting photos of herself holding her newborn daughter. She revealed that the baby was born just a day earlier. Lee Si Young already has a son with her former husband, whom she divorced earlier this year. In the pictures, she is seen wearing a mask while holding the tiny infant, who appears to be under close medical observation with tubes and monitors around her.
Her Instagram post, shared with her 3.9 million followers, quickly gathered thousands of likes. In her caption, she wrote that she sees her daughter as a gift from God. She promised to make sure both her kids, Shik Shik ie which is the baby’s nickname meaning strong and Jeong Yun, live happy lives. She also thanked Professor Won Hye Seong and said she will never forget the kindness shown to her.
Lee Si Young, who is now forty three, also gave a glimpse of the room where she and her daughter are staying. The photos showed the baby’s face and the equipment being used to monitor her condition.
Lee Si Young married a businessman in 2017. He is a non celebrity and is nine years older than her. They had a son together but she announced their divorce in March this year. A few months later in July, she shared that she was pregnant with her second child. She explained that the baby was conceived through an embryo that had been frozen during her marriage. Instead of discarding it, she chose to go ahead with the pregnancy. Her ex husband later said in an interview that he did not agree with having a second child, but he respected her decision and he would still take responsibility as a father.
