WhatsApp has officially released a new app for the Apple Watch, giving users a much smoother way to stay connected without taking out their phones. With this update, people can now read, reply, and react to their WhatsApp messages right from their wrist.

For the first time, WhatsApp on Apple Watch also shows call notifications. This means users can see who’s calling them instantly, even when their phone isn’t nearby. The app now lets people read full messages, including longer texts, directly on the watch. You can also record and send voice messages, react to messages with emojis, and even view images and stickers clearly, making the chatting experience more complete.

The new version also lets users scroll through more of their recent chats, making it easier to keep up with conversations.

WhatsApp has reassured users that all personal messages and calls remain safe, protected by end-to-end encryption, just like on phones.

The company said this is only the beginning and hinted that more features will be added soon to make the Apple Watch experience even better.

The new WhatsApp app works on Apple Watch Series 4 or newer models running watchOS 10 or later.
