Netflix’s beloved period drama Bridgerton is officially returning for its much-anticipated fourth season — and fans finally have a release window to look forward to. Although Netflix hasn’t made a global announcement yet, Netflix Netherlands seems to have let the secret slip early, accidentally revealing the premiere dates on Instagram.

According to the now-deleted post, Bridgerton Season 4 will follow the same split-release format as the previous installment. Part 1 is set to arrive on January 29, 2026, while Part 2 will follow a month later on February 26, 2026, as reported by WhatsOnNetflix. The post also included a new teaser poster showing the two release dates, instantly sending fans into a frenzy online.

Created by Shonda Rhimes’ production company, Shondaland, the hit series is set in Regency-era London and explores the romances, scandals, and social politics of the high-society Bridgerton family. This season will finally turn the spotlight on Benedict Bridgerton — the family’s charming and artistic second son — and his complicated love story.

Benedict’s love story takes center stage

Season 4 will adapt Benedict’s story as he meets Sophie Baek, played by Yerin Ha, a maid with a hidden identity and mysterious past. Their story begins at Lady Bridgerton’s grand masquerade ball, where Benedict encounters a mysterious “Lady in Silver,” unaware that she is, in fact, Sophie.

Actor Luke Thompson, who plays Benedict, teased that this chapter will feel both magical and deeply human. “The scripts that Jess [Brownell] and her team have come up with are dynamite. They’re really, really exciting,” he said. “It’s such a great story, but it’s also, I hope, really relatable.”

Yerin Ha echoed that sentiment, revealing she instantly connected with Sophie while auditioning. “What drew me to Sophie was that she immediately has obstacles — something she constantly has to overcome,” she explained.

What else to expect from Season 4

Aside from Benedict and Sophie’s budding romance, the new season will also revisit the beloved friendship between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie). After their ups and downs in Season 3, showrunner Jess Brownell said viewers will see a deeper, more mature dynamic between them. “Their trials and tribulations last season have added new depth to their friendship,” she shared.

The new season will also introduce fresh faces to London’s high society. Rosamund Li (played by Michelle Mao) and Posy Li (Isabella Wei) will make their debut, guided by their ambitious mother Araminta Gun, portrayed by Harry Potter alum Katie Leung. Simone Ashley and Golda Rosheuvel will return as Kate Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte, respectively, bringing continuity and familiarity to the lavish world fans adore.

With romance, intrigue, and a classic fairytale twist on the horizon, Bridgerton Season 4 is shaping up to be another sweeping, scandal-filled success — and the countdown to January 2026 has officially begun.
