The final season of Stranger Things is almost here, and the cast is opening up about their feelings before the show ends. In a recent chat with Time Magazine, actor Finn Wolfhard admitted that many of them are nervous about how fans will respond. He compared the situation to what happened with Game of Thrones, whose last season caused a massive backlash from viewers.
Finn said that everyone on the team has thought about how easily things could go wrong. “I think everyone was pretty worried, honestly,” he shared. “The way that Game of Thrones got torn to shreds in that final season, we’re all walking into this going, ‘We hope to not have that kind of thing happen.’ But then we read the scripts. We knew that it was something special.” His comment reflects how aware the Stranger Things cast is of fan expectations — and how much pressure they feel to deliver a satisfying ending.
The show’s creators and writers have promised that Season 5 will be emotional, intense, and true to the story that started back in 2016. Still, the fear of disappointing fans is real, especially for a show that has built such a huge and passionate following around the world.
The upcoming season will bring back all the familiar faces from Hawkins, Indiana, including Eleven, Mike, Will, Lucas, Dustin, and Max, who is still in a coma after the events of Season 4. Vecna is also set to return, and the group must once again face the chaos of the Upside Down in their biggest battle yet.
Returning cast members include Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Cara Buono, and Jamie Campbell Bower.
Stranger Things Season 5 will be released in three parts — Volume 1 will arrive on November 26, followed by the next two parts on Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Fans are counting down the days, hoping the ending will live up to the years of mystery, friendship, and nostalgia that made the show so beloved.
