Lee Min, one half of the Korean R&B duo As One, has passed away. On August 6, her husband found her at their home in Seoul. Her agency, Brand New Music, confirmed her sudden death in a statement. The cause of her passing has not been made public, and police have opened an investigation.

Fans and the music industry have been mourning her loss online. Since Lee Min did not have an active social media account, her fans turned to community platforms to express their grief. Her agency asked people to avoid speculation until the investigation is complete.

Lee Min debuted at 21 as part of As One alongside Crystal Chae. Crystal is currently in the U.S. but plans to return home after learning about her partner’s passing. The duo had been active until recently and appeared on the Park Bo Gum-led music talk show, The Seasons: Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile, in May, which aired on May 9. Fans are still in shock that she passed just weeks after that appearance.

As One released their debut album, Day by Day, in 1999 and stayed active until 2017 before going on hiatus. Some of their well-known songs include Only You Wouldn’t Know and Desire And Hope. Their most recent release was in June, a song called Happy Birthday To You, which they promoted on a variety show.
