America’s Got Talent is gearing up for its grand finale on September 24, 2025. The show is down to 10 finalists, and the episode promises plenty of surprises, special performers, and appearances from AGT alumni. The finalists include improv rapper Chris Turner, singers Jessica Sanchez, Jourdan Blue, and Steve Ray Ladson, dance groups Team Recycled and LightWire, Leo High School Choir, rappers Mama Duke and Micah Palace, and aerialists Sirca Marea. The winner will take home a $1 million cash prize along with massive praise.
Ahead of the finale, a tense moment happened on the show involving judge Mel B and finalist Micah Palace. During feedback, Mel B advised Micah to always be nice to everyone, from the crew to the people who dress him. She said: “I just wanna give you a few words of advice: you’ve got to be nice to everybody, the crew, the people that dress you. Cause if not, you’re gonna meet them on the way back down, anyway.”
Simon Cowell stepped in to defend Micah, calling Mel B’s comment “out of order.” He said he had seen Micah backstage and that the rapper had been polite and sweet to everyone, which made Mel B’s advice unnecessary. Howie Mandel also gave his feedback, and Micah responded by crediting his mom for teaching him to treat everyone kindly. He also apologized in case he had unintentionally hurt anyone.
According to PEOPLE, Mel B’s intention behind the advice was positive. She shared it because it was the best piece of guidance she had received early in her own career and wanted to pass it on. Despite the brief tension, excitement for the finale remains high. Fans can catch the AGT finale on NBC on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
