The 2025 Video Music Awards were full of big stars and unforgettable moments. Everyone from Lady Gaga and Mariah Carey to Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter was there, either performing or in the audience. It was one of the most exciting shows in recent years.

Sabrina Carpenter was recognized as Best Pop Artist. KATSEYE won MTV Push Performance of the Year, and Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars picked up Best Collaboration.
Ariana Grande also won Best Pop. Doechii took Best Hip-Hop, and Mariah Carey won Best R&B. Sombr won Best Alternative, and Coldplay claimed Best Rock. Shakira was Best Latin, and Lisa featuring Doja Cat and Raye took Best K-pop. Tyla won Best Afrobeats, and Megan Moroney earned Best Country. Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet won Best Album, and Ariana Grande also took Best Longform Video.
BLACKPINK won Best Group, while Tate McRae’s Just Keep Watching won Song of the Summer. Charli XCX featuring Billie Eilish won Video for Good. Lady Gaga won Best Direction and Best Art Direction. Kendrick Lamar took Best Cinematography, and Tate McRae won Best Editing. Doechii earned Best Choreography, and Sabrina Carpenter won Best Visual Effects.
Overall, the show highlighted incredible talent across all genres. It was a night of celebration, surprises, and well-deserved recognition for artists making waves in music this year.
