Dan Scavino, White House Deputy Chief of Staff and a longtime aide to former President Donald Trump, recently surprised his girlfriend, Erin M. Elmore, with a romantic proposal on the White House grounds. The moment was shared on both of their Instagram accounts, capturing Erin’s shocked and delighted reaction as Dan went down on one knee with a large diamond ring. Erin, visibly overwhelmed, covered her face, gasped, and eventually kissed Dan in response, while slipping the sparkling ring onto her finger. Dan captioned the video simply: “She said YES.”

The couple’s proposal was styled with classic elegance. Erin wore a chic white A-line dress with floral prints, puff sleeves, and a round neck, paired with high heels, subtle makeup, and curly hair. Dan complemented her with a navy blue formal suit, making for a visually perfect and romantic scene on the historic grounds.

Dan Scavino, born in January 1976, was previously married to Jennifer Scavino. The couple shared 18 years of marriage and two sons before their divorce in Duchess County, New York, for reasons that remain private. Dan has been closely associated with Donald Trump since 2015 and was appointed director of the White House Presidential Personnel Office in August 2025. He holds a BA in Communications from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.

Erin Elmore, the director of Art in Embassies at the State Department since April 2025, is an accomplished attorney, journalist, and philanthropist. She holds a law degree from Villanova University and degrees in broadcasting and political science from the University of Miami. Erin was previously married to actor Craig M. Spitzer, with whom she shares a child. Her professional and philanthropic pursuits in the arts, combined with her legal background, make her a highly accomplished partner for Scavino.
