Priscilla Presley has opened up about her last memory of being intimate with Elvis, describing it as “unhappy” and emotionally hurtful. She met Elvis when she was just 14 and he was 24. They married in 1967, and shortly after, she discovered she was pregnant with their daughter, Lisa Marie, who sadly passed away in 2023.
In her new memoir, Softly, As I Leave You, Priscilla explained that when Elvis found out about her affair with her karate instructor, Mike Stone, he “made love to me forcefully, not forcibly.” She noted that his usual tenderness was gone, leaving her with a painful final memory, but she emphasized this was not why she left him.
Priscilla also revealed that Elvis even considered hiring a hit man against Stone but was eventually persuaded to calm down. She reflected, “As difficult as it was, I never regretted my decision to leave Elvis. But I never ceased to mourn it.”
After divorcing Elvis, Priscilla stayed with Stone until 1975, had a relationship with model Michael Edwards, and later was with screenwriter Marco Antonio Garibaldi, with whom she had her second child, Navarone, in 1987. Elvis, meanwhile, never remarried but had relationships with Linda Thompson and Ginger Alden before his death in 1977.
Priscilla also shared the heartbreaking moment she took Lisa Marie off life support, describing how she whispered to the doctor, “Take her off the machine, Doctor,” as she watched her daughter lie in a vegetative state.
Her memoir paints a candid picture of the pain, heartbreak, and difficult choices she faced both with Elvis and later with her daughter.
