Twitch is finally letting viewers rewind livestreams. The new Rewind button will make it easy to go back and rewatch parts of a stream. You can use it to clip moments or catch something you missed.
At first, the feature will only be on desktop and will be available this week. Rewind is exclusive to Twitch Turbo users and channel subscribers. Twitch CEO Dan Clancy explained it’s not free for everyone yet because people could use it to skip ads.
Eventually, Twitch plans to bring Rewind to all users and to mobile apps too. Streamers will need to enable Rewind in their settings, and VODs must be turned on. Because of this, some channels, like DJ channels, won’t have the feature.
