Chainsaw Man is back, and fans are excited for the new movie, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, which covers the Bomb Girl storyline. This arc introduces Reze, a new female character who quickly becomes Denji’s love interest. But, as with most things in Denji’s life, nothing is simple.

Reze was first teased in the final episode of Chainsaw Man season 1 in 2022, and fans have been eager to see her full debut. She meets Denji, and the two form an instant connection. Denji quickly falls for her, but there’s a dark twist—Reze is actually a hybrid devil called Bomb Girl. She hails from the Soviet Union and was sent on a mission to capture Denji’s heart, literally.

In the anime, Reze is voiced by Reina Ueda, who has also played roles like Cha Hae-In in Solo Leveling and Kanao Tsuyuri in Demon Slayer. Ueda first teased the character in the last episode of season 1 and now brings Reze fully to life in the movie.

Reze’s exact age isn’t revealed in the manga, but hybrid devils stop aging once transformed. Based on her personality, she’s likely around 18 to 20 years old in the story.

At first, Reze’s love for Denji is just a facade to complete her mission. She pretends to be affectionate and sweet, but it’s all part of the plan. Over time, however, she begins to develop real feelings for him. By the end of the Bomb Girl arc, her emotions become genuine, even if she can’t fully express them to Denji.

Reze’s transformation into Bomb Girl is visually striking. Like Denji’s chainsaw form, she activates her powers by pulling a grenade-like pin in her neck. As Bomb Girl, she’s incredibly powerful, leaving a trail of destruction with her explosive abilities. Her powers are somewhat similar to Bakugo’s explosion quirk from My Hero Academia. But water is her weakness, dampening her explosive energy and limiting her attack potential.
