The Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t get off to the best start in their game in Ireland. They received the opening kickoff in Dublin but were unable to move the ball and did not get a first down. That slow start also meant that star wide receiver DK Metcalf wasn’t involved early in the offense.

Metcalf, who is known for his size and physical presence on the field, didn’t get any early looks from quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Meanwhile, the Minnesota Vikings were quick to take advantage and put a field goal on the board.

There’s no reason to worry about Metcalf’s health. He is not injured. He’s simply not been part of the offense yet because the Steelers had a slow start and couldn’t get their plays going.

This season, Metcalf has a new jersey number with the Steelers. He now wears No. 4, a change from his previous number. Despite the quiet start, he is active and on the field for the game. The only major offensive player who is inactive for Pittsburgh is running back Jaylen Warren.

Even though Metcalf hasn’t seen many targets yet, his presence gives the Steelers a big weapon to lean on as the game continues. Once the offense starts moving, he will likely become a key part of their plans.
