TWICE is showing the world once again why they’re one of K-pop’s most enduring powerhouses. Following the release of their much-anticipated fourth full-length album THIS IS FOR and two back-to-back sold-out shows at Incheon’s Inspire Arena, the group is now making headlines for an even bigger reason — a second round of contract renewals with JYP Entertainment.

TWICE reportedly extends contracts with JYP for a second time

According to a report by MHN Sports on July 21, all nine members — Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu — are preparing to extend their exclusive contracts with JYP Entertainment. This comes three years after their first renewal in July 2022, ahead of their original contracts expiring in October of that year. If confirmed, this marks the second time TWICE has chosen to place their collective trust in JYP, making them one of the rare K-pop groups to not only survive but thrive well past the industry’s infamous “seven-year curse.”

This renewal—though not yet officially confirmed by JYP—would align with TWICE’s steady ascent and unwavering group unity. As they approach their 10th anniversary in October 2025, TWICE is proving that their bond isn’t just strong with fans but also within their team and agency.

The THIS IS FOR era and TWICE’s expanding global footprint

Their fourth full-length album, THIS IS FOR, is an ambitious 14-track offering that includes title track “Four,” along with bangers like “Options,” “Mars,” “Right Hand Girl,” and “Peach Gelato.” The album also features a variety of unit songs and diverse sounds, showcasing how each member continues to evolve artistically. Although the album doesn’t include solo tracks, each member has a special solo stage exclusively crafted for the THIS IS FOR World Tour.

Their world tour kicked off with high energy in Incheon on July 19 and 20 and is set to take them across major cities, ending with grand shows in Bangkok on December 13 and 14. But before that, TWICE will make a historic appearance at Lollapalooza Chicago on August 2, further establishing their presence as global music icons.

A group that defies trends, expectations, and time

TWICE’s potential contract renewal and global expansion come at a time when many K-pop groups either splinter or shift directions after their seventh year. TWICE, however, remains unified, and if this latest report holds true, it speaks volumes about their commitment to one another, their artistry, and their fans.

As the world waits for official confirmation, ONCEs are already celebrating what feels like a new chapter in the group’s journey. Whether onstage, in the studio, or behind the scenes, TWICE continues to define longevity and sisterhood in K-pop — proving once again that this group is truly for the long haul.
