A new fantasy romance K-drama called Charge Me Up is in the works. Chae Soo Bin and Kim Young Kwang are set to play the lead roles. News about the drama first came out in April 2025. On July 9, Korean media outlet My Daily reported that the show now has an official streaming platform.
Charge Me Up will be released on Netflix. The show is based on a webtoon and will be co-produced by Newpoint (a part of NEW) and Why Not Media. The deal with Netflix has been confirmed, but the filming schedule and other details are still unknown.
This will be Chae Soo Bin’s ninth drama on Netflix. Her past work includes The Fabulous, When the Phone Rings, and I’m Not a Robot. Kim Young Kwang also has experience on the platform, with four previous shows already available to stream.
In the drama, Chae Soo Bin will play a woman named Na Bo Bae, who has electrical powers. Kim Young Kwang will play Baek Ho Rang, a man whose pacemaker starts to fail. Na Bo Bae uses her powers to save his life. After this event, their lives become connected, and the story will follow how their relationship grows.
Fans are excited because this is the first time Chae Soo Bin and Kim Young Kwang will act together. Both actors are known for strong performances in different types of roles.
Chae Soo Bin was last seen in the Netflix drama When the Phone Rings. She played the wife of a rich man and had to act using sign language, which got her a lot of praise. Kim Young Kwang recently appeared in a drama called The Haunted Palace, where he played a supporting role.
