SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi and Woozi are officially preparing to begin their military service, as confirmed by PLEDIS Entertainment on July 8. The two artists will enlist this coming September—Woozi on the 15th and Hoshi on the 16th—and both will serve in active duty roles. With this news, they become the third and fourth SEVENTEEN members to enlist, following Jeonghan in September 2024 and Wonwoo in April 2025. While their absence will be felt, PLEDIS shared that fans can expect pre-recorded content from the duo during their time away, ensuring a continued connection with CARATs.
Before stepping into their duties, Hoshi and Woozi will share one last moment with fans through a special fan concert titled WARNING, under their beloved HxW unit. The event will kick off in Seoul from July 11 to 13, followed by performances in Busan on July 19 and 20, and concluding in Gwangju on August 23 and 24. These shows will be their final live appearances as a unit before enlisting. In addition, the two will participate in a video call fan sign event for SEVENTEEN’s fifth studio album Yizhiyu, giving CARATs one last chance to interact with them personally. PLEDIS kindly asked fans to avoid visiting the enlistment sites out of respect for others also beginning service.
News of their enlistment has prompted an outpouring of support across social media and Weverse, with fans worldwide expressing pride and appreciation for both idols. Many shared emotional tributes to the strength and chemistry of the HxW unit, thanking them for their hard work and looking forward to their safe return. While the group navigates this new phase, CARATs are standing strong, continuing to cheer on SEVENTEEN as they manage their schedules and support each other during the enlistment period.
