As FC 25 enters its final stretch, the much-anticipated Futties event has officially arrived, marking one of the most exciting periods in the game’s yearly cycle. Known for celebrating fan-favourite players and delivering some of the most powerful cards in Ultimate Team, Futties introduces high-rated special items this year, including the first 99-rated cards of FC 25.

The event showcases upgraded versions of players based on community votes and previous in-game performances. These cards not only feature major stat boosts but also often come with updated skill moves, work rates, and alternate positions, making them highly desirable for competitive squads.

EA Sports has begun rolling out Futties Team 1 in packs, with additional themed content such as SBCs, Objectives, and daily login rewards accompanying the launch. Futties typically spans several weeks, with new batches of players released weekly and endgame content added regularly.

Fans looking to see which players are included in each team, and when the next wave of Futties content will drop, can expect a structured rollout that follows a multi-phase schedule. As always, the Futties promo serves as a final send-off to FC 25, building momentum as players prepare for the transition to FC 26.

What to expect from FC 25 Futties

Futties is widely considered the highlight of the year for SBC (Squad Building Challenge) enthusiasts, offering some of the most rewarding and creative content in FC 25. A staple of this promo is the popular 65+ x10 Upgrade SBC, which allows players to recycle unused fodder from their clubs in exchange for a pack containing ten players rated 65 or higher, often including several special items or high-rated cards.

In addition to these upgrade packs, players can expect a constant stream of new content. EA typically releases a large batch of fresh Futties players directly into packs, along with SBC-exclusive items and themed Objective rewards. These are often tied to daily or weekly challenges, encouraging consistent engagement. A “Best Of” selection featuring top-performing special cards from throughout the FC 25 cycle also returns to packs for a limited time, further increasing the value of opened rewards and grindable SBCs.

The real centrepiece of the Futties promo, however, is the introduction of 99-rated players. Since FIFA 22, EA has steadily ramped up the number of players achieving this max overall rating, with 22 of them featured during FC 24. FC 25 is expected to continue this trend, offering a wide pool of max-rated stars that are sure to dominate weekend league squads and friendlies alike.

Futties is also traditionally the first time players get their hands on cards reflecting real-life summer transfer activity. These versions often feature new club kits and updated positions. With major transfers already in the headlines, fans might see cards such as Florian Wirtz at Liverpool, Kevin De Bruyne at Napoli, or Trent Alexander-Arnold at Real Madrid, assuming those transfers are finalised or confirmed in-game. These additions only enhance the hype, making Futties a dynamic send-off for FC 25 and a strong bridge to the launch of FC 26.
