Arsenal have been busy this summer, making several new signings to prepare for the 2025/26 season. After bringing in Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard, and Noni Madueke, the club is now expected to confirm striker Viktor Gyokeres as their fifth addition.

Last season, Arsenal finished second in the Premier League for the third year in a row and didn’t pick up any other trophies. As a result, they’re now aiming to finally take the next step and win the title.

Speaking during Arsenal’s pre-season tour, manager Mikel Arteta was asked if he believes his team can win the Premier League this year. His answer was clear: yes, he does.

Arteta said the competition gets tougher every year, but he feels Arsenal are ready for the challenge. He praised the club’s activity in the transfer market and highlighted the importance of improving the current squad as well. According to Arteta, setting strong foundations during pre-season is key to starting the season in the best possible shape.

He also pointed out that there are around eight clubs in the Premier League that could realistically win the title. Because of that, he said Arsenal must stay focused on what they can control if they want to be the team lifting the trophy at the end of the season.

Arsenal’s campaign kicks off on August 17, when they take on Manchester United at Old Trafford in one of the biggest matches of the opening weekend.
