Kate Upton and Justin Verlander have expanded their family once again, as the couple recently welcomed their second child together. On June 19, the model and the professional baseball player became parents to a baby boy, whom they’ve named Bellamy Brooks Verlander. Their representatives confirmed the joyful news to People Magazine, adding that both Upton and Verlander are absolutely thrilled about this new chapter in their lives.
In addition to their newborn son, the couple also share a 6-year-old daughter named Genevieve. The family has often been spotted enjoying sweet moments together, such as their memorable appearance at the 2022 MLB All-Star Game. At the event, the trio turned heads in matching hoodies and bright yellow sunglasses. It was clear from that moment how close-knit the family is, and Verlander even shared how much it meant to him to have his daughter watching him from the stands, saying that the experience of playing baseball has become more meaningful because he gets to share it with his family.
Kate and Justin’s relationship has been one of mutual support and admiration over the years. The two first crossed paths in 2012 while shooting a commercial. Although they felt a connection right away, they didn’t start dating until a couple of years later. In January 2014, they were spotted looking affectionate, sparking rumors that were soon confirmed when Kate posted a photo of them together on Instagram in May of that year. Their bond continued to grow, and later that same year, Upton playfully acknowledged Verlander when joking about her being named People’s Sexiest Woman, cheekily saying, “Um, you’re welcome, Justin.”
