The buzz around Apgujeong Matzip really took off after a content creator posted a video showing autographs from Jungkook, Cha Eun Woo, Mingyu, and Jeonghan. Since it’s common for idols to leave their signatures at restaurants, fans were excited—but the fact that all four names appeared at once sparked rumors of a group hangout.

Jungkook, Cha Eun Woo, and Mingyu are known members of the ’97 liners friendship circle, so seeing their names together wasn’t too surprising. What raised eyebrows was Jeonghan’s autograph, since he’s not usually associated with this friend group. That addition made fans wonder if he’d joined the outing or if the group dynamic had changed.

However, those dreams were short-lived. Fans who did some digging found that Apgujeong Matzip had shared photos of the autographs on different dates. That means the signatures were likely collected at separate times, not during a single visit. So the viral theory of a joint dinner didn’t quite hold up.

Military enlistments added even more doubt. Jungkook has been serving in the military since December 2023, and Jeonghan started his alternative service in September 2024. With both currently enlisted, it would be nearly impossible for them to be casually dining out in 2025.

Meanwhile, Cha Eun Woo’s enlistment is set for July 28, 2025, and Mingyu hasn’t announced his plans yet. So technically, only those two are currently available for public appearances.

All things considered, while the autographs are very real, it’s clear they weren’t signed during one group visit. Still, it’s a fun coincidence for fans and a nice reminder that even top idols enjoy Seoul’s local food spots—just not always at the same time.
