According to inside sources (though not yet officially confirmed by her agency), she’s been cast in a new drama called Wonderful New World — and her role sounds amazing.
In this upcoming series, she could be playing Shin Seo Ri, a struggling actress in the present day. But here’s the twist: her body gets taken over by the spirit of Hee Bin — a legendary and feared villainess from the Joseon dynasty, who was executed centuries ago by poisoning.
Now reborn in a completely new era, Hee Bin brings her sharp wit, strong personality, and fearless attitude into modern-day life. The drama will show how this fierce spirit tries to take over the 21st century in the most dramatic (and probably hilarious) way possible.
Wonderful New World isn’t just a fantasy drama — it also features a spicy love-hate relationship! The story follows Hee Bin (in Shin Seo Ri’s body) as she crosses paths with Cha Se Gye, a rich and emotionally distant modern-day chaebol (a wealthy businessman). The casting for the male lead hasn’t been announced yet, but fans are already excited about the on-screen chemistry.
The show will be directed by Han Tae Seop, who’s known for popular dramas like Stove League and Cheer Up. Filming is expected to begin later this year, and if all goes as planned, the drama will air in early 2026.
