Kevin Jonas recently opened up about the emotional toll that touring and performing have taken on him. After completing over 130 shows with the Jonas Brothers, he admitted to feeling mentally exhausted and burnt out, especially on the flight home from Europe. The intensity of touring left him drained, and the sudden drop in adrenaline afterward triggered a deep low he described as “the blues.” He shared that he’s now seeing a therapist to help him cope with the emotional highs and lows that come with such a demanding lifestyle.
Kevin recalled how his long, chaotic journey back from Europe pushed him over the edge. His wife noticed something was off and encouraged him to seek help. The experience helped him realize the importance of addressing mental health, especially in high-pressure careers like his. He explained how tough it can be to go from non-stop action and crowd energy to complete stillness, which messes with the mind.
He also spoke about his brother Nick’s experience in Broadway, saying that the emotional intensity of a stage role is even more demanding than touring. According to Kevin, Nick takes that emotional weight home with him every night, which can be really difficult. Kevin said he couldn’t imagine himself in that position and has no plans to take on a Broadway role himself.
Despite these challenges, Kevin confirmed that the Jonas Brothers will hit the road again for their JONAS 20 tour once Nick wraps up his Broadway commitments.
