Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner might be Hollywood’s current It couple, but it’s his ex, Eiza González, who’s turning heads for her refreshingly positive take on their relationship.
In a recent segment of Cosmopolitan’s Cheap Shots, released on May 30, the Baby Driver actress didn’t hold back her genuine admiration for the pair. “They look so cute together,” Eiza said. “They look so in love, and so cute, and I’m obsessed with them.”
This sweet approval comes nearly four years after González and Chalamet were briefly linked in the summer of 2020 — a short-lived romance that followed his split from The Idol star Lily-Rose Depp. Now, Eiza is happily dating tennis pro Grigor Dimitrov, and she seems to be all good vibes when it comes to her ex moving on.
“I love Timmy,” she continued. “I think he’s the most talented, sweetest — honestly, like sweetest boy — and I’m just so proud to see him thriving and doing great in his career.”
Her comments follow Jenner and Chalamet’s much-talked-about red carpet debut earlier this month. The couple, who’ve been quietly dating since around April 2023, finally went public in style, matching in sleek black outfits at the 70th David Di Donatello Awards in Rome on May 7. It was their first official event together, and the buzz around their appearance was immediate.
According to Us Weekly, a source close to the couple revealed that Kylie felt it was the right moment to make their relationship public. “She wanted to support him and show how proud of him she is,” the insider said, adding that the two have grown very close and are “practically living together” whenever Timothée’s not working. He’s reportedly become a familiar face in her home life, a quiet but steady presence.
What’s more, those close to Kylie say she feels grounded and secure with Chalamet, a noticeable shift from her previous relationships. The same source noted that she’s calm and confident with him, and that this relationship just feels different.
