Sonja Morgan, the former star of Real Housewives of New York City, has been banned from a fancy restaurant in NYC after reports said she caused a scene over the bill. Rumors claimed she threw a tantrum when it came time to pay, but Morgan fired back, saying there was a misunderstanding and that the dinner was supposed to be part of a promotional deal.

She told Page Six that she had already discussed the terms with the restaurant staff beforehand, but the restaurant tells a very different story.

Sources say Morgan had booked a table for three but showed up with five people. When the bill came, she didn’t want to pay the full amount. An insider described her as “absolutely hysterical,” refusing to pay and acting like she was on a reality show, shouting things like “I’m a celebrity!” The situation reportedly got worse when Morgan called the restaurant owner trying to get the bill waived.

Another source said she acted entitled, claiming, “I don’t pay; people pay me to go to their restaurants,” causing a big scene about not settling the bill.

Even though Morgan eventually paid, the restaurant staff has made it clear she’s no longer welcome. The owner, Max Tucci, told the media that restaurants are already struggling with high costs, and Morgan was trying to take advantage. He said there was never any agreement for a free meal—she just wanted free food and service.

Morgan had enjoyed complimentary meals there before and apparently assumed this dinner would be free as well, but that assumption didn’t sit well with the restaurant.
