The BAFTA TV Awards 2025 wrapped up Sunday night, but not without some shockers. Several fan-favorite shows missed out on awards, stirring disappointment among viewers and critics alike.

Traitors

One of the year’s most loved series, Traitors, came away empty-handed despite three nominations. Fans were vocal about their displeasure, sharing clips of the host looking visibly disappointed, with captions like “The look of someone whose program has been robbed.”

The Day of the Jackal

The Peacock series didn’t even make the main nomination list, only scoring nods in the Craft Awards for editing and production design. Notably, Eddie Redmayne was overlooked for any performance category, even though the show is gearing up for a new season.

Gavin and Stacey

A surprise snub here. The beloved comedy series, which has remained popular, lost out to Strictly Come Dancing in the P&O Memorable Moments category and faced stiff competition in Best Comedy, ultimately coming up short.

Baby Reindeer

Richard Gadd’s Netflix miniseries caught the audience’s attention but secured just one win—Best Supporting Actress, awarded to Jessica Gunning, who accepted the trophy on stage.

Bridgerton

Despite being a fan favorite with heavy viewership and renewals for Season 4 already underway, Bridgerton did not win any BAFTAs this year, despite a couple of nominations.
