Apple TV+ is set to bring Hugh Laurie back to the spotlight with The Wanted Man, a gripping new crime thriller from George Kay, the creator behind Hijack and Lupin. This eight-part series promises a tense story full of drama, betrayal, and a relentless quest for vengeance.
Laurie stars as Felix Carmichael, the powerful head of a London crime syndicate called The Capital. After years of being untouchable, Felix is finally captured—and soon discovers that someone close to him betrayed him. While imprisoned, he learns his criminal empire is falling apart. Refusing to go down quietly, Felix plans a daring escape, throwing himself back into the dangerous world he once ruled.
The cast also includes Thandiwe Newton (Westworld), Fionn Whitehead (Dunkirk), Gina McKee (My Policeman), Hazel Doupe (Say Nothing), Elliott Heffernan (Blitz), and Stephen Dillane (Game of Thrones).
The series is showrun by George Kay with executive producers Willow Grylls and Matt Sandford. Jakob Verbruggen (Dark Matter, Black Mirror) directs.
