Connie Britton, who played Nicole in the first season of White Lotus, is eager to come back for another season of the popular show. But there’s one big catch: she wants the next season to be filmed in Aspen. Why? Because she doesn’t want to leave her son home alone for months while filming takes place far away.

In a recent interview, Connie shared that she has been talking with White Lotus creator Mike White for several years about returning to the show. However, the idea of spending a long time away from home is just “not realistic” for her right now.

When she filmed Season 1 during the COVID pandemic, Connie was able to bring her 14-year-old adopted son, Eyob, with her to Hawaii. He even took early morning Zoom classes from the set. But now that he’s older and has more school responsibilities, she can’t leave him behind for long shoots anymore.

She said, “As much as I would love to do it, it’s a whole thing. I’ve definitely had to say no to other jobs before.” Balancing work and motherhood isn’t easy—especially since Connie doesn’t have a big support system in Nashville. She’s had to work super long days, sometimes up to 17 hours, while raising her son as a single mom.

Connie admitted that becoming a parent changed everything for her. Now, she plans her life carefully around her son and appreciates having help when she needs it. She also recognizes that many single parents don’t have that kind of support, and she feels lucky.

Besides acting, Connie is involved in The Motherhood, a reality TV show aimed at helping single moms find a better balance in life. She hopes the show will help change how society views single parenthood and offer support to moms juggling it all.
