PEOPLE obtained the menu from the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC), where Combs is currently being held, and it shows he’s eating the same standard meals as the other inmates. On Mondays, breakfast includes fruit, cereal, skim milk, and a breakfast cake. For lunch, he’ll choose between baked chili cheese tots or a baked potato, both served with green beans, whole wheat bread, fruit, and a drink. Dinner offers two options: a chicken breast sandwich or a chickpea burger, along with pinto beans, steamed rice, corn, and a drink.
After his arrest in September 2024, a source told PEOPLE that Combs is being treated just like every other inmate. “He is being treated like any other detainee awaiting trial,” the source explained, adding that he was placed on suicide watch when he first arrived at the facility, which is standard protocol for high-profile detainees.
Combs’ trial officially began on May 12, and he has pleaded not guilty to all charges, firmly denying any wrongdoing. So far, jurors have heard testimony from several key witnesses, including two of his former employees, his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura and her mother, a makeup artist, and rapper Kid Cudi. The courtroom proceedings are expected to continue for several weeks.
Judge Arun Subramanian recently shared that the trial will likely wrap up before the Fourth of July. Until then, Combs remains in custody without bail. If convicted on all charges, the music mogul could face a life sentence.
