Meghan Thee Stallion is taking legal action against Tory Lanez for his disruptive and disrespectful behavior during a deposition related to the civil case she filed against Milagro Cooper. The rapper’s attorney has filed a motion asking the court why Lanez shouldn’t be held in contempt for his actions during the deposition.

The case stems from Meghan’s complaint against Cooper, who allegedly used social media to spread defamatory content, including deepfake porn videos and false statements. The situation escalated when it was revealed that Tory Lanez (real name Daystar Peterson) instructed Cooper to carry out these actions.

When Lanez was called to testify, he reportedly disrupted the deposition, acting as if he didn’t understand simple terms like “discuss” and “approve.” His behavior was described as bizarre and disrespectful, including comments about the attorney’s hair dye, which he claimed was “distracting.” He even made a comment requesting a hairbrush be brought the next time he was deposed.

In response, the law firm representing Lanez in his criminal appeal clarified in an email that they do not represent him in the civil case and would not stop Meghan or her attorneys from seeking punishment for Lanez’s behavior.

Lanez, who has been convicted of charges related to the 2020 shooting of Meghan, including “negligent discharge of a firearm” and “assault with a semiautomatic firearm,” is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence. Meghan has also been granted a restraining order against Lanez, citing that she has been living in fear since the incident.

This motion adds another layer to the ongoing legal battles surrounding Lanez, as both his criminal and civil issues continue to unfold. Meghan’s attorney’s push for the court to take action against Lanez’s deposition behavior highlights the continued tension and disrespect that seems to persist between the parties involved.
