JoJo Siwa recently stirred up a lot of attention after her breakup with girlfriend Kathe Ebbs, especially after Ebbs dropped a shocking TikTok spilling details about how things ended between them. Soon after, JoJo sat down for an emotional interview on the UK talk show This Morning, where she opened up about her side of the story.
While talking to hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, JoJo got pretty teary-eyed as she explained that she had a lot of time to think about her life and relationships while she was locked away in the Celebrity Big Brother house. Even though the show only lasted three weeks, JoJo said it felt like she had been away for four years, that’s how intense it was for her.
During all that alone time, JoJo said she came to a big realisation: she had been putting up with a lot of things in her life, especially in her relationship, that she probably shouldn’t have. She decided that once she left the show, she needed to make some changes, fast. Even though JoJo didn’t mention Kathe’s name directly, she did admit that she was pretty unhappy in her relationship.
JoJo also shared that after the show, she realized she needed to put her mental health first. That led her to break up with Kathe, which clearly left Kathe feeling blindsided and hurt. Kathe later posted (and then deleted) a TikTok where they said JoJo had “dumped” them during the Celebrity Big Brother afterparty. In the video, Kathe confessed they felt totally numb and disoriented after the split.
To make things even messier, news of the breakup hit just as JoJo was getting noticeably close with her Celebrity Big Brother castmate, Chris Hughes. On the show, JoJo and Chris had several flirty moments that definitely didn’t go unnoticed by fans, leading many to wonder if there was more going on between them.

Kathe even seemed to suggest that JoJo and Chris’s connection wasn’t just innocent fun for the cameras, saying something along the lines of, “What I thought was just a fake TV show with no real consequences turned out to have a lot of truth mixed in.”
As for JoJo, she addressed the rumours too. She made it clear in her interview that her bond with Chris is strictly platonic, just friendship, nothing more.
