James Spader, who made a huge impact as the creepy-yet-charismatic voice behind Ultron—the killer robot villain in Avengers: Age of Ultron—might be stepping back into the Marvel spotlight. With Marvel Studios constantly cooking up new shows and stories, it almost felt like a matter of when, not if, he’d return.

While it’s already been confirmed that Spader is back, we just got a little extra buzz thanks to actor Farhan Tahir. If you remember the first Iron Man movie from way back in 2008, Tahir played Raza, the leader of the group that kidnapped Tony Stark. Well, now he’s returning to the Marvel universe too—and he dropped a big hint about Spader’s comeback.

In a recent chat with ComicBookMovie.com, Tahir talked about filming the upcoming Vision series and described it as a kind of reunion. He mentioned working with Spader again—both of them previously shared scenes on The Blacklist, so this Marvel project brought some familiar faces back together.

“There’s another cast member from The Blacklist on this show too,” Tahir said. “James Spader and I did a couple episodes together, so it felt like a little reunion. It was great having the team back, even though the story and setting were totally different. Still, it was a blast.”

Now, what’s this Vision series all about? It picks up from where WandaVision left off, focusing on the mysterious “White Vision”—the version of Vision that was rebuilt by the government agency S.W.O.R.D. and programmed to destroy Wanda’s magical version of Vision inside the Hex. But during their showdown, White Vision absorbed all of Hex Vision’s memories and then vanished—leaving fans wondering where he went.

That’s where the new show comes in, and it looks like Ultron, voiced again by Spader, could be tied to that storyline. After all, Vision was created using parts of Ultron’s original design.

There’s also buzz that James D’Arcy (who played Edwin Jarvis in Agent Carter) and Kerry Condon (the voice of F.R.I.D.A.Y., Tony Stark’s AI assistant) may appear as human versions of those characters—possibly in some kind of alternate reality or flashback.

All in all, things are lining up for a wild ride full of returning characters, old villains, and some serious nostalgia for long-time Marvel fans.
