Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown is shutting down critics by confidently showing off her makeup-free face in a recent social media post. The 21-year-old actress addressed her ongoing acne struggles, revealing that her breakouts have been “pretty bad” lately.
In the video, Brown appeared in a casual red-and-white striped shirt with her hair partially tied back, as she omoted a tea tree oil-infused acne patch that she claims has helped her manage her skin.
“I don’t know if you can see, but my breakout’s pretty bad right now,” she candidly shared. “I’m 21 years old, figuring out what my skin likes and what it doesn’t, but what it does like is the Spot a Spot Acne patches.”
Before ending the clip, she sent love to her followers, saying, “I love you guys, and I hope everybody’s doing well. Much love.”
Brown’s post follows recent criticism from some social media users who claimed she looks older than her age. In response, the actress shared a screenshot of a British Vogue article titled “No One Cares How Old You Think Millie Bobby Brown Looks” and simply captioned it: “Thank You.”
The backlash surfaced after Brown attended the media event for her latest film, The Electric State, alongside Chris Pratt. She stunned in an elegant gown with her hair in a sleek bun, while her husband Jake Bongiovi looked dapper in a black tux. However, some online commentators criticized her appearance, prompting her to subtly hit back.
Brown has long been an advocate for authenticity and self-acceptance, often using her platform to promote confidence and natural beauty. Despite facing scrutiny, she continues to embrace her real self—flaws and all—while shutting down unnecessary criticism with grace and maturity.
