Mia Weinberger, a passionate Taylor Swift fan, took her love for the pop icon to a new level by creating an informative PowerPoint presentation. This engaging deck not only covers Taylor’s music career but also serves as a comprehensive guide for anyone wanting to understand Swift’s world.
Presentation overview
Weinberger’s mother posed a question that many fans might wish they could answer: “I don’t know that much about Taylor Swift, can you educate me?” This prompted the 35-year-old filmmaker to create a detailed 55-page presentation, aptly titled “Barb’s Version.” The PowerPoint features an exploration of Taylor’s various eras, significant relationships, and the customs cherished by the Swiftie community. It even dives into fun elements like Swift numerology and Easter eggs hidden within her music.
“I wanted to make something that would be both educational and entertaining,” Weinberger shared during a Zoom call. The presentation includes interactive elements like YouTube links and concludes with a crossword puzzle to test knowledge retention.
Initially designed for her mom, the presentation quickly gained traction after Weinberger decided to sell it on Etsy. Priced at $13, the “Swiftie University” presentation has seen impressive sales, with nearly 450 copies sold in just six weeks. “It’s been really fun to hear from Swifties all over the world who are excited to educate the Taylor newbies in their lives,” she remarked.
Weinberger’s journey as a Swiftie began in 2017 during the “Reputation” era. Since then, she has immersed herself in Swift’s music, attending various concerts and sharing the experience with her boyfriend. “I presented Tom’s Version to him, and he filmed some of that,” she explained. The social media response was overwhelming, with her Instagram post about the presentation amassing over two million views.
Future aspirations
Looking ahead, Weinberger plans to update her presentation after the final Eras Tour concert in December. “I want to keep refining it,” she said, sharing a light-hearted moment about her mom’s progress. Recently, her mother texted, “I’m in a restaurant with Dad, and they’re playing Romeo and Juliet,” to which Weinberger laughed, responding, “That’s so close. We’re almost there.” (The song, of course, is “Love Story.”)
