Taylor Swift kicked off the U.S. leg of her record-breaking Eras tour in stunning fashion Friday night, bringing out Florence Welch for a surprise duet at Hard Rock Stadium. The pair performed their hit collaboration, “Florida!!!,” marking only the second time they’ve sung the track together live.
The crowd erupted as Welch, the lead singer of Florence + The Machine, joined Swift during the second verse of the song. Fans packed into the stadium sang along, creating a magical moment as Swift and Welch delivered a powerful rendition of the The Taylor Swift Project single. Their first live performance of the track had taken place in August during the final night of the European leg of the tour.
Swift dazzled the Miami audience with multiple costume changes, including a revamped bodysuit for her Reputation set — notably the only outfit from her previous shows that hadn’t been updated. Additionally, she debuted a refreshed blue dress for her Fearless segment, sparking speculation among fans that another Taylor’s Version album announcement could be on the horizon.
Earlier in the day, Swift hinted at her excitement about being back on tour in the U.S. She shared a playful video on social media, walking into the Miami Dolphins’ stadium while holding her cat, Olivia Benson. Wearing a yellow sweatshirt and light-washed jeans, Swift strolled to the beat of GloRilla and Sexyy Red’s “Whatchu Kno About Me,” captioning the post, “Back in the office…” with the hashtag “#MiamiTSTheErasTour.”
