In a haunting revelation, Liam Payne’s ex-fiancée Maya Henry has shared that the former One Direction star predicted his early death just days before his tragic passing at age 31. Speaking on the podcast The Internet Is Dead, Henry opened up about Payne’s mental health struggles and the emotional toll of their relationship, which ended in 2022 after a four-year romance.

According to Page Six, Henry revealed that Payne often spoke about his declining well-being and hinted at his death in messages he sent her after their breakup. “He would always message me ever since we broke up saying, ‘Oh, I’m not well,’” Henry recalled. “He would always play with death and be like, ‘Well, I’m going to die. I’m not doing well.’” These ominous remarks, shared by the late singer, now seem eerily prescient in light of his unexpected death on October 16.

Payne, who rose to global stardom as part of One Direction, was open about his struggles with mental health throughout his career. His relationship with Henry, which began in 2018, became increasingly strained as the singer battled personal demons behind the scenes. Henry, 23, shared during the podcast that her time with Payne was fraught with emotional challenges, referencing alleged emotional abuse she experienced during their time together.
