Taylor Swift may be teasing her fans yet again. During her latest date with boyfriend Travis Kelce on October 12, the pop sensation was spotted in New York City wearing an outfit that many believe hints at the imminent release of Reputation (Taylor’s Version). Known for dropping subtle clues, Swift’s recent fashion choices are fueling speculation that her highly anticipated re-recording could be on the way.
While out for dinner at Torrisi, an Italian restaurant in New York, Swift wore a striking greenish-gold velvet corset and pleated miniskirt from Annie’s Ibiza. However, it was her accessories that truly grabbed attention. The singer carried a black Roberto Cavalli bag featuring a gold monogram “R” placed between two snakes, a direct nod to her Reputation era, where snakes symbolized themes of betrayal and reinvention. Swift paired this with black Versace platform mules adorned with a gold Medusa logo, further enhancing the warrior-like vibe.
Swift has been known to use Easter eggs to drop hints about upcoming projects, and fans were quick to connect this outfit to her “Reputation era”. The black and gold snakes, which were a central theme of her 2017 album, seem to suggest that Reputation (Taylor’s Version) could be released soon.
This isn’t the first time Swift has sparked speculation with her wardrobe. She’s worn several Reputation-inspired outfits over the last year, including a green gown at the 2024 Golden Globes and another look during a double date with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds on October 11.
As Swift prepares to resume her Eras tour, where she dons a snake-patterned bodysuit for the Reputation segment, it seems likely that the re-recording of Reputation is closer than ever. Fans will be eagerly awaiting any further clues she drops.
