Country star Brantley Gilbert experienced an unforgettable moment on October 11 when his wife, Amber Cochran Gilbert, gave birth to their third child on his tour bus during a concert in Tupelo, Mississippi. The “Son of the Dirty South” singer had just started his set when he was called backstage for an unexpected emergency.
Shortly after, their son, Abram Howell Gilbert, was born. In a touching moment, Brantley stood over Amber, cradling their newborn, while talking to his mother on the phone. Proudly watching his wife’s strength, Brantley exclaimed, “She’s a freaking savage.”
Moments after the birth, Brantley returned to the stage, visibly moved, and announced the news to the crowd, “We got a baby!” The audience erupted in cheers as the country star celebrated this monumental event with his fans.
Following the show, Brantley took to social media to share more about the surprise birth. “Last night might have been the craziest night of my life,” he wrote. “Watching such an amazing woman do such an amazing thing is something I’ll never forget.” He also thanked their road team for rallying around them, as well as the fans in Tupelo for their support.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2015, are also parents to two older children, Barrett, 6, and Braylen, 5. They had announced Amber’s pregnancy earlier this year with a Mother’s Day post featuring their two children, saying, “How’s this for a Mother’s Day?”
Abram Howell Gilbert, born on October 11, now joins their growing family on the road.
