This marks the 41st time Oklahoma has hosted the show, putting them in elite company with only Ohio State (59), Alabama (58), and Florida (41) having hosted more times. The Sooners have a solid 27-13 record when featured on “College GameDay,” but they’ll be coming into this matchup as home underdogs against a red-hot Tennessee team.
Oklahoma is off to a strong start in their first SEC season, sitting at 3-0 after handling non-conference opponents Temple, Houston, and Tulane. But the real challenge comes with their SEC opener against Tennessee, who also boasts a 3-0 record, including a dominant 41-point victory over No. 24 NC State in Week 2.
