Google TV continues to enhance its free streaming offerings by adding several new channels, bringing its total number of built-in free channels to an impressive 157. The latest expansion includes popular options like The Bob Ross Channel, Comedy Dynamics, and Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan.

Available on Google TV devices such as Chromecast, these new channels can be accessed directly from the home screen or through the Freeplay app experience. This latest update comes shortly after the platform recently added over a dozen channels, reaching a total of 150 free options. Google TV initially launched with around 80 channels in 2023, but it has since significantly expanded its free content library.

In addition to these new additions, Google TV integrates hundreds more channels via partners such as Plex and Tubi, which are featured in the home screen’s “Live” tab. However, it’s worth noting that these free channels are currently available only in the United States, with no current plans for international expansion.

The inclusion of The Hill TV and Dove Channel adds variety to the news and entertainment options available to users.

Google TV’s consistent efforts to expand its free channel offerings highlight its commitment to providing diverse and engaging content to its users, solidifying its position as a prominent player in the streaming space.
