Zildjian, renowned for its high-quality cymbals and drum accessories, has introduced its latest innovation in audio technology: the Alchem-E Perfect Tune wireless headphones. Priced at $399.95, these headphones aim to cater specifically to musicians, particularly drummers, by offering a specialized Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) mode designed to enhance their playing experience.
The Alchem-E Perfect Tune headphones feature a unique ANC mode called “Play-Along,” which allows drummers to hear their drum kits while dampening external noise by approximately 50 per cent. This mode is tailored to help musicians play along to tracks without completely isolating the sound of their instrument. Additionally, the headphones provide a traditional ANC mode to block out all unwanted ambient noise, though it may not entirely mute the sound of a drum kit nearby.
In terms of sound customization, Zildjian offers a notable feature with the Alchem-E Perfect Tune: the ability to set individual equalizer (EQ) profiles for each ear. This personalized sound adjustment is particularly appealing to musicians who require precise audio control. The accompanying app allows users to fine-tune their listening experience further.
The headphones come equipped with 40-millimeter drivers and support both wireless and wired connections. When used wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.3, the Alchem-E offers a robust battery life of up to 45 hours, even with ANC enabled. For those who prefer a wired connection, a six-foot analogue audio cable is included. Additional features include a silicone carrying case, user-replaceable padding, and a dial for controlling volume and playback on the right earcup.
Zildjian’s foray into the wireless headphone market with the Alchem-E Perfect Tune demonstrates the company’s commitment to providing specialized gear for musicians, blending advanced technology with the needs of professional drummers.
