With an impressive 40 million pre-registrations under its belt, the game is set to launch with cross-progression and cross-play functionalities, allowing players across different platforms to seamlessly continue their adventures together.
Originally teased by the developer of Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero had been eagerly awaited since its confirmation for a 2024 release. Although an earlier App Store leak hinted at a July 3 launch, the official announcement has now clarified the release date, reassuring fans of the game’s imminent arrival.
As the studio’s latest venture into the realm of free-to-play urban fantasy, Zenless Zone Zero will incorporate a gacha mechanic, inviting players to engage in the addictive pursuit of unlocking limited characters and items using in-game currency. While not venturing into the expansive open-world territory like Genshin Impact, the game’s post-apocalyptic setting promises a rich narrative backdrop, with players navigating through the remnants of a society ravaged by supernatural disasters known as “Hollows.”
