TriStar Pictures has announced a strategic three-step platform release for Miramax’s highly anticipated film “Here,” directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Robert Zemeckis and starring the dynamic duo of Tom Hanks and Robin Wright. The film is set to captivate audiences with its unique storytelling approach and stellar cast, including Paul Bettany, Kelly Reilly, and Michelle Dockery.
The release schedule kicks off with an exclusive premiere in Los Angeles and New York on November 15, followed by a limited release on November 22, and culminating in a wide release on November 27. This staggered release strategy aims to generate buzz and anticipation leading up to the film’s wide availability, ensuring maximum impact and audience engagement.
“Here” marks a significant reunion for Zemeckis, Hanks, and Wright, thirty years after the iconic “Forrest Gump” first captured hearts worldwide. Written by Eric Roth and based on Richard McGuire’s innovative 2014 graphic novel of the same name, the film promises to deliver a compelling narrative exploring the interconnected lives of multiple families in a special place they call home. Through its exploration of love, loss, laughter, and life across generations, “Here” offers a poignant reflection on the human experience.
One of the film’s most groundbreaking aspects is its use of cutting-edge technology to digitally de-age Hanks and Wright, a feat made possible through a partnership between AI technology firm Metaphysic and Hollywood agency CAA. Zemeckis, known for his pioneering approach to storytelling, expressed his enthusiasm for leveraging technology to enhance the narrative, citing Metaphysic’s AI tools as instrumental in bringing the characters to life in their younger iterations.
Behind the scenes, “Here” is helmed by a talented production team, including producers Jack Rapke, Derek Hogue, and Bill Block, with executive producers Jeremy Johns, Andrew Golov, and Thom Zadra. With such a formidable lineup of creatives and the promise of groundbreaking storytelling, “Here” is poised to make a significant impact when it hits theaters this November.
