Feuds within the hip-hop realm often take unexpected twists and turns, and the latest bout involving Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, and Drake is no exception. Kanye West, now going by the moniker Ye, recently ignited a firestorm on social media with a post that has since gone viral.
In his bold declaration to his vast audience, Ye proclaimed himself as the “goat” (Greatest of All Time), while also throwing shade at fellow hip-hop heavyweights Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Ye asserted that he had “washed” Drake during a concert, and boldly claimed superiority over Kendrick Lamar, stating that he had outperformed him on the track “No More Parties in LA.”
Expanding on his assertions, Ye’s post included references to his significant contributions to the music industry, including his impact on Adidas, collaborations with renowned designers, and his impressive discography spanning albums like “Yeezus,” “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” and “The Life of Pablo.” He also emphasized his resilience, highlighting his ability to reclaim the top spot in the charts after facing backlash.
Ye’s social media outburst comes in response to Kendrick Lamar’s controversial lyrics in the track “Like That,” where Kendrick dismissively raps about the “Big 3” in hip-hop, seemingly disregarding Ye, Drake, and himself. The provocative lines sparked widespread speculation and discussion within the hip-hop community.
Meanwhile, Rick Ross showed support for Kendrick and Future, featured on “Like That,” by sharing a video of himself vibing to the track. Drake, however, has yet to directly address Kendrick’s lyrics, opting instead for a cryptic Instagram post hinting at internal conflict among his detractors.
The tension between these rap titans continues to captivate fans, with each move and countermove intensifying the ongoing feud. As the drama unfolds, the hip-hop world eagerly awaits further developments and potential responses from all parties involved.
