Giada de Laurentiis and Bobby Flay are like the dynamic duo of the food world, building their tasty empires on the small screen of the Food Network. It seems like every time you turn on the TV, there they are, cooking up a storm together. They’ve tackled projects like “Iron Chef America,” “Food Network Star,” and even ventured to Italy for “Bobby and Giada in Italy.” They’ve even dished out relationship advice together on “Today.” But it hasn’t all been smooth sailing; there was a bit of a beef after Giada thought Bobby wasn’t pulling his weight on “Iron Chef America.” However, despite some spicy drama, their collaborations usually cook up some seriously good ratings and leave fans craving for more.
Now, what’s got everyone gossiping? Well, imagine the drama when you have two incredibly good-looking and successful chefs hanging out together, especially when they were both married at some point. Giada announced her divorce from Todd Thomas in December 2014, and guess who she was spotted having dinner with just days before the announcement? Yep, Bobby Flay. Then, not long after, Flay’s marriage to Stephanie March hit the skids in April 2015. And just to add some extra flavor to the mix, there were reports of Giada cozying up to a mystery man (not Bobby, they made sure to clarify). Scandalous, right?
Giada’s been quick to dish out denials, though. She’s been on talk shows like “The Wendy Williams Show” and “Watch What Happens Live” shutting down rumors faster than you can say “spaghetti carbonara.” She even joked about it, saying people pair her up with anyone she even looks at. And when asked directly about her relationship with Bobby, she made it clear they’re just good friends, nothing more. Her reps backed her up, saying that dinner with Bobby was innocent and devoid of any romantic hanky-panky.
Bobby, on the other hand, hasn’t been grilled as much about the rumors. But he’s had Giada’s back, echoing her statements about their innocent dinner meet-ups. And when they teamed up for “Bobby and Giada in Italy,” it was all love and pasta. Bobby couldn’t stop gushing about Giada, saying how relaxed she is in Italy and how much he enjoys her company. And it’s not just Giada he’s a fan of; he’s even got a soft spot for her mom, Veronica. Seems like these two are just cooking up a storm of friendship, nothing more, nothing less. But hey, who knows what goes on behind the kitchen doors?
