Julianne Hough is cherishing the bonds within her family during challenging times.
In a heartfelt Instagram post featuring a series of images, the former Dancing with the Stars judge expressed her deep connection with her loved ones this holiday season, captioning the Christmas-themed reel, “Holding my family extra tight this holiday season ❤️.”
Among the photos, Julianne shared a picture embracing her brother, Derek Hough, who recently disclosed that his wife, Hayley Erbert, underwent a series of emergency surgeries, including a critical craniectomy and a subsequent skull implant.
Another poignant image showcased Julianne tightly embracing her sister-in-law, Erbert, who is preparing for surgery. Both dressed in comfortable cream-colored pajamas, they shared a moment of closeness and support.
Additionally, Julianne included snapshots featuring her sisters, Marabeth and Sharee, along with a selfie capturing a heartfelt moment with Derek and their mother, Marriann.
This touching family-oriented Christmas post followed Derek’s update about his wife’s successful cranioplasty surgery. Erbert’s surgery involved replacing a significant portion of her skull, following the emergency craniectomy earlier this month.
Celebrating the success of his wife’s surgery, Derek took to Instagram, expressing gratitude to the exceptional medical team and their supportive community. He acknowledged Dr. Mai for not only performing the surgery but also for saving Erbert’s life two weeks prior. Derek’s post exuded hope and optimism for his wife’s recovery journey, acknowledging the pivotal role played by the supportive community in their lives.
According to People, Erbert began experiencing symptoms before her diagnosis during their Symphony of Dance tour stop in Washington D.C. on Dec. 6.
Julianne had previously shared news of her sister-in-law’s upcoming surgery on Instagram, requesting prayers and sending love and healing thoughts to Hayley and Derek, expressing profound gratitude for the outpouring of support from their families and well-wishers.
