In Destiny 2’s ongoing Season of the Wish, a player has unveiled an astonishingly potent Titan Strand build ideal for tackling the new Coil activity. This fresh activity marks the return of Riven, albeit in spirit form, as she aids Guardians in pursuing the Witness.
The current Destiny 2 landscape features three Light subclasses and two darkness subclasses, offering players diverse avenues to experiment with builds aligning with their preferred play styles. With the advent of The Witch Queen DLC and the accompanying Light 3.0 updates, Bungie introduced significant alterations to Light subclasses, granting players greater flexibility to tailor their favored builds. This freedom led to the emergence of various “meta builds,” although Bungie remained vigilant in addressing any overpowering builds. Notably, in the Season of the Wish, Solar and Strand Titan subclasses underwent substantial nerfs in an effort to restore balance. However, within The Coil activity, a seemingly broken Titan Strand build has surfaced, leveraging activity-specific buffs.
In a post on the Destiny 2 subreddit, user KILL3RSNAK3 highlighted the potential of unleashing an infinite stream of powered melee projectiles against enemies within The Coil using the Titan Strand subclass. This exploit stemmed from the Lethal Melee Recharge buff, available for purchase from Riven during Coil runs, designed to restore moderate melee energy upon securing final blows. Astonishingly, the player discovered that this buff not only replenished melee energy upon landing hits on enemies but also didn’t necessitate the foes’ demise to trigger the effect. Importantly, the player wielded the Wormgod Caress Exotic gauntlets, enhancing melee damage with the escalating Burning Fists meter, facilitating swift enemy obliteration.
Furthermore, the Titan’s survival amidst swarms of adversaries was sustained by the Banner of War Titan Strand Aspect in Destiny 2. This aspect provided continuous healing from melee kills, synergizing seamlessly with the Flechette Storm powered melee, which launched Unraveling projectiles, efficiently obliterating adversaries in an instant.
Apart from the gameplay exploits, Destiny 2’s annual festive event, The Dawning, has made a return, offering fresh recipes and exclusive loot. This year’s Dawning also introduces its own unique Memento, akin to the all-black Memento from Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost. Additionally, players have uncovered an expedient method for farming Dawning Essence during the event, serving as a compelling incentive to dive into the festivities and procure new weapons and gear.
