Delectable Dungeon (Dungeon Meshi/ Danjon Meshi), Season 2 has been confirmed to be in production by Studio Trigger. However, a release date for this season hasn’t been identified.

A declaration of the second Season came through a key visual and teaser trailer released immediately following the first season finale on June 13, 2024. Since then, there have been ongoing official social media posts confirming continued production since April 2026 (including from an English-language account). These posts have messages such as “Please wait a little longer – Season 2 is still being produced,” etc.

Delicious in Dungeon Season 2: Release Date Speculation

  • Most likely window: 2026, possibly winter or later in the year. Some earlier optimistic estimates pointed to late 2025, but high-quality Trigger productions and the time since the June 2024 announcement make 2026 the consensus.
  • Anime seasons of this caliber typically take 18–24+ months. Season 1 (24 episodes across two courses) aired January–June 2024, and no new trailer or firm date has dropped yet. Fans speculate possible announcements around anniversaries (e.g., June 2026).
  • It will stream on Netflix worldwide, likely with weekly episodes and a simuldub, matching Season 1.

No delays have been reported; updates emphasize active production.

Delicious in Dungeon Season 2: Plot Details (Spoiler-Light)

Ryoko Kui’s manga “Delicious in Dungeon” covers up until chapter 52 for season 1, finished in 2023, and the second season will consist of the following arcs:

– first floor interlude

– lunatic magician’s house arc

– dwarf city ruins

– winged lion arc

Many of the final arcs will also be included, which include plot points focused on Thistle, new progression mechanics for the dungeon, Falin’s state, and, additionally, more in-depth details outside of that for the dungeon, the monsters, and the party’s ultimate goals.

The premise of the series will continue to follow Laios, Marcille, Chilchuck, Senshi (and Izutsumi), among others, as they navigate through the dungeon while cooking and eating the monsters in order to survive; all while continuing to blend comedy, adventure, and foodie elements with progressively darker fantasy elements. Season 2 is expected to last about 12-24 episodes, but it will still not complete the original story since there are still ~7 major arcs to cover from the manga.

Overall, the series is an excellent combination of Dungeons and Dragons-style exploration, cooking, and ecological living with monsters, group dynamics, and emotional depth.
