The Traitors season 4 returned on Friday night with its highly anticipated finale, and viewers are already convinced one finalist may have ruined their chances of winning. A small comment from Rachel has set off alarm bells among fans watching at home.
The episode opened with the results of the chests of chance. Unfortunately for James, he picked an empty chest. This meant he was immediately banished from the castle. The twist hit hard because James was actually a Faithful, not a Traitor.
After James left, the remaining five players gathered back in the castle to talk through the dramatic night. During the discussion, Rachel made a comment that instantly caught viewers’ attention. She said, “If I were a Faithful, I’d murder me,” before quickly correcting herself and saying Traitor instead.
In the room, most of the players seemed to let the comment slide. Jade appeared slightly suspicious but didn’t push the issue. At home, though, viewers noticed everything. Social media quickly lit up with fans pointing out what they believed was a major mistake.
One viewer wrote that they couldn’t believe no one reacted to Rachel saying “if I were a Faithful.” Another said Rachel had basically just outed herself as a Traitor. Others warned that the slip-up might cost her the entire game.
Rachel may now be under serious threat. Some players, including Jack, are starting to believe she could be a Traitor. Jack is especially fired up after James was wrongly banished and wants revenge for his friend.
At the next banishment, things will be even more dangerous. No player will reveal whether they are a Faithful or a Traitor when they are voted out. This rule change makes it much easier for Traitors to hide and much harder for Faithfuls to be sure.
After the final roundtable, the remaining players will face one last decision. They will gather around a smaller table and choose whether to end the game or keep playing. Each contestant will throw a ceremonial pouch into a fire to show their choice.
The game will only end if every remaining player votes to stop. If even one person believes there is still a Traitor in the game, it will continue. Once everyone agrees to end it, the prize money will go to whoever is left standing, whether they are Faithfuls or Traitors.
With tensions high and trust at an all-time low, the big question remains. Has Rachel already talked herself out of winning, or will she survive until the very end? There isn’t long left to find out.
